Kellie 2 Kellie 4 Jennifer Jennifer 1Kellie was one the best "American Idols" regardless of the fact that she didn't win. Kellie Pickler was born June 28th, 1986 in Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. Her mother was only 16 when she became expecting her. It was a difficult childhood for Pickler as her father was addicted to alcohol and drugs even though her mother had divorced from her at the age of 2. Morton returned to take her charge for a few years, however Pickler admitted that it was not as smooth. "I was cooking with my mother when I told her that I prefer to die rather than remain here.' The woman pulled out a knife, placed it on the counter, then informed me that, "Here, you do it." Fourth grade. It's a shame that I didn't take action on it. But, it did leave a lasting emotional scar. Pickler who was 12-years-old, was handed her grandparents' custody following the court hearing. Pickler was brought up with her mother and grandmother throughout her lifetime. She cites them as being the most influential people in her life. The year was January 2002 when her grandmother Faye Pickler passed away from lung cancer. Pickler was raised by her grandfather. Pickler is a graduate of North Stanly high school located in New London (North Carolina).
