Ellie Goulding
The singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding (n e Elena Jane Goulding 30 December, 1986 Hereford England) was a English Singer-Songwriter. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to the catchy electro-pop songs "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack of writing engaging, but emotionally honest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap has a place at the cutting edge of contemporary mainstream music and artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogs to print media, garnering recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record companies. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major recording deal. Her debut album was set to release.
