The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress (Congressional Award Board of Directors) awards the Horizon Award a special recognition. The Horizon Award is given to people working in the private sector who have worked to increase opportunities for all Americans. It also acknowledges individuals who have set outstanding standards for the next generation of young people with their achievements in life. Tom was a fantastic teammate and appreciated being included in such a skilled, experienced group. He practiced hard and played with determination when his Magnum schedule was able to allow . He was very patient with us all and we enjoyed the large crowds which replaced the sparse number of players' friends and spouses at the National tourney games. ".
